Sips & Tips is Back! How to Handle Tough Talks Without the Stress

Last Updated 2/10/2026

The wait is finally over. We’ve heard the requests, and we are thrilled to announce the official relaunch of one of our most popular Chamber series: Sips & Tips!

We’re bringing back the series with a renewed focus on what matters most to our Cascade business community: real connection, relaxed vibes, and actionable advice you can actually use right away. We’re trading the daily grind for the welcoming atmosphere of The Cave to kick things off right.

But we aren't just coming back to socialize; for our first event, we're tackling one of the biggest hurdles every small business owner faces.

The "Dreaded" Conversation

Let’s be painfully honest for a second: no one wakes up excited to have a "difficult conversation."

Whether it’s addressing chronic lateness, a performance issue, or a personality clash on your team, the anticipation is usually worse than the actual talk. If you’ve ever put off a necessary conversation with an employee because you didn't want to deal with the awkwardness, fear of confrontation, or discomfort, you are definitely not alone.

It’s easy to let things slide when you're busy running a shop, managing client sites, or keeping the books balanced. But we all know that ignoring small issues today usually leads to giant headaches- and bigger messes to clean up- tomorrow.

Turn Cringe into Confidence

For our Sips & Tips relaunch, we want to give you the tools to handle these moments head-on, without the stress.

We are excited to welcome Kristie McCarthy with Bridge Business Resources for a quick, high-impact session titled: "Difficult Conversations Don’t Have To Be Difficult."

Kristie isn't here to give a long lecture about theory. She’s going to share straightforward, practical strategies to help you:

    • Navigate awkward moments with ease instead of "cringe."
    • Address issues early before they escalate into crises.
      • Communicate clearly while maintaining a positive culture in your business.

        Join Us at The Cave

This is about community, not formalities. Come connect with your fellow business neighbors, enjoy a cold drink, and gain a quick leadership "win" for your week.
