Upon arrival at the event, the team captain must check in with Cascade Chamber staff for area assignment, and any new information concerning the cook off.

You can begin setting up your area at 10am on Saturday May 11. Your area must be set up and ready to go no later than 11:30am. Area space will be 10' X 15.' Public displays and demonstrations are encouraged as a part of crowd involvement. Decorations are not mandatory, but encouraged because they do add to the atmosphere.

  2. Best BBQ Sauce - $75 in Chamber Bucks and a Plaque
  3. Best Unique Sauce - $75 in Chamber Bucks and a Plaque
  4. Best Overall Wing - $75 in Chamber Bucks and a Plaque

The Best BBQ Sauce, Best Unique Sauce, and the Best Overall Wings will be decided by a blind tasting by a select panel of judges.

Chamber bucks may be redeemed at participating Chamber Businesses.

Turn in time for judging is 2:45pm - each team must provide 6 wings for judging.

4. Public Tasting at 3:00pm:

At 3:00pm we will begin public tasting of the wings. Patrons will buy a punch card to sample each contestant's wings. Each punch card is good for 8 wings. They will also be given a paper boat to put the wings in. One punch = 1 wing. Someone at your booth will need to be sure the card gets marked off for each wing they taste! The tasting & the People's Choice voting will go on while the wing supplies last. Awards will be given out shortly after. Live music will play from 3-7pm.

5. Booth Tear Down:

Areas must be cleaned up at the end of the festival. All equipment must be off the premises immediately following the event. Please clean up any trash that is within your booth space and deliver all garbage to the dumpster. For those that are frying their wings, a Wingfest official will be able to direct you to the grease dumpster where you can dispose of your old grease after the cook off. DO NOT DUMP GREASE IN OR NEAR THE RIVER. Acceptable tear down including a clean booth area as determined and will guarantee your refund of your $50 Entry Deposit. Otherwise the fee is not refundable.

6. Application & Deposit:

Cook off applications and deposit must be received by April 26th. There will be no walk-up competitors accepted. You may fill out an application and pay your fee online, or checks may be made payable to Cascade Area Chamber of Commerce. You will receive confirmation and acceptance before the cook off.
